BitWarden On-Boarding

What is Bitwarden? Bitwarden is a "Password Manager" - essentially, all of your passwords in one place, and you can access them using Single Sign-On with O365. BitWarden is a browser extension that will also allow you to quickly enter your credentials, along with MFA.

Why are we doing this? The days of Excel spreadsheets with passwords in plain-text are over. This is a security liability, not just for you, but also for our clients. Bitwarden will not only store your passwords, but you will also be able to randomly generate passwords so that all the sites you visit have different passwords.

First, Check for Email invitation and click Join Organization Now.

The email will be from "no-reply@bitwarden.com"

Click "Log in" after verifying the SSO Identifier is correct.

Enter the verification code that is sent to your email.

This signs you into the webpage.

You will be brought to the webpage and will see your folders/collections on the left.

Now that you have logged into the Webpage, You can close this tab/window.

Now, please log into your Extension. You will also need to sign into your Desktop Application.

PLEASE NOTE: THE IT TEAM WILL NEED TO CONFIRM YOUR ACCOUNT FOR EACH EXTENSION/Desktop Application

You should have the BitWarden Extension in the top right of your chrome web browser. The Microsoft EDGE Extension is also available, and in the same location.

Enter your Email, and then click "Enterprise Single Sign-on" to log into your Web Browser.

IT WILL ALSO NEED TO CONFIRM YOUR FIRST LOGIN TO THE EXTENSION

**This is needed for Inside\Outside Citrix Chrome, Inside\Outside Microsoft Edge.

Please Click "Request Admin Approval" to request access to the Extension. IT will need to confirm this, so please send in a ticket or message Caleb directly. We will need to do this for each browser, along with if it is inside Citrix/ outside Citrix.

Once complete, fully close your browser and re-open for the changes to take affect after your extension has been approved.

IMPORTANT - Please Be Sure to Sign into your Desktop Application in Citrix as well if you plan on working from home! - If Bitwarden experiences issues, this will be your Backup!

You will also need to sign into your Desktop Application!

Click your Start Menu in the bottom right corner of your computer.

Start typing "Bitwarden" and you should see the desktop icon come up.

Click this to access your desktop application. You can pin this if you'd like.

Enter your email and click Enterprise Single Sign On. Request Admin Approval here as well.
